Dorothy Wang loves that glamorous life. Well, most days.

It may seem like the #RichKids of Beverly Hills star is eternally camera ready when all her red carpet and Instagram photos feature a perfectly-sculpted contour and glowing cheekbone highlight, but, according to Dorothy, balance is the major key.

The 28-year-old jewelry designer chatted with E! News and exclusively shared some of her current fashion obsessions and the little secrets behind her beauty routine that you probably wouldn't expect.

Bottom line: It's all about taking time to let her skin breathe and always having fun with her look. Oh, and let's not forget an amazing makeup artist!

What is your everyday makeup routine?

My makeup routine differs. I have on days or off days for my skin and face to relax. If we're filming or I have an appearance, then I'll get my hair and makeup done. I'm not really the best at doing my own makeup. I usually have the professionals do it because I know they'll do a good job and they'll probably do it faster anyway.

Then when it's just day-to-day running around and I don't have to be on camera, I literally just put on a little bit of mascara. I actually use RevitaLash Volumizing Mascara because it helps my lashes grow a little bit longer while I'm at it and then I pencil in my brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz and I use a little bronzer and a little highlight powder. That's it. I really am either fully done up or kind of barefaced with no makeup letting my skin breathe. I think that's important.

To do my own makeup, it probably takes me like fifteen minutes. [For full glam], it probably takes an hour and a half. I love a full glam. If I'm going to wear makeup, then I'm going to really wear it and on the days I don't wear makeup, I don't wear makeup. But I like the full-on.

What are your must-have beauty products?

I love Anastasia's brow pencil and Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow palette. It has everything you need in one. There's a highlighter and bronzer in one thing.

What is your signature lip color?

I feel like a lot of my makeup artists always want to do a pop of color and I feel like I never want to do a pop of color on the lips for some reason. I'm just not the girl that wears a bright red lipstick or a color to match my outfit. I like a nude or a berry tone that's like one shade darker than my natural lip color.

How do you maintain your skin between all the glam sessions?

I try to let my skin breathe and air out in between. I honestly try not go too many days in a row with makeup. I think two days in a row is usually my max and by the third day, I need to go a couple days just to let my skin breathe and not have all the powders and all the brushes against it.

I always wash my face after makeup. I always have to wash it off and never sleep with it on. It's terrible for your skin. For my skincare routine, I just use Clean & Clear Exfoliating Cleanser and then I use Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and then I moisturize. Moisturizing is really important. Your skin should never be dry. I also sleep with a humidifier which helps.

What is your biggest pet peeve with makeup?

I hate a bad eyebrow. I learned how to pencil in my own eyebrows from my makeup artist and it's all about the shape. You have to cheat the shape a little bit, you have to go from light in the middle to dark on the ends. It can't be dark, dark, dark in the middle. I think a bad brow really ruins it all.

What are your holy grail hair products?

I use this serum when I get out of the shower and I put it on my wet hair. It's by Rusk and it is called Sheer Brilliance. It's a smoothing and shining polisher. I just put a little bit on my hands and kind of run it through my hair to give it a little bit of lubricant and a little bit of extra shine. The best thing is dry shampoo. I think that is like the holy grail of hair. I actually use a really old-school brand called Batiste. It looks like it's from the 1980s, but that's the best one I've found.

What is your signature fragrance?

I use CREED Spring Flower.

What are your spring fashion must-have pieces?

I think we're still kind of rocking the fall and winter looks a little bit, like bomber jackets, cute little booties and, right now obviously, bodysuits. Maybe for spring it will be more about bodysuits and knitted skirts.

Who are your favorite designers for spring?

I always love Alexander Wang. I've recently found this new designer from EJ Johnson. His name is LaQuan Smith and we were all dying over his stuff. I'm putting in my order very soon with him after I get my measurements. He makes amazing bomber jackets and he pairs things very cool. He will put a bomber jacket and with an evening gown, but it works. I think it's all about mixing and matching. I'm loving Dolce & Gabbana right now and all their different prints. They're putting together florals with polka dots and with stripes and just mixing it all up.

What is your biggest pet peeve with fashion?

I think my pet peeve is when people try too hard and then end up wearing the same outfit over and over. I feel like fashion should be fun. You should have fun with what you wear. You shouldn't think so hard like this is my style and I can only wear black. I know people that will only wear black and white. I think that it should just be more fun.
