Are Kim Kardashian and Kanye West considering hiring a surrogate to have a third child?

On Sunday's Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim explored the idea of surrogacy after meeting with two doctors who told her it "wouldn't be safe" for her to get pregnant again. During Kim's first two pregnancies, she experienced "difficulties" and if she were to get pregnant again it would be considered a "high-risk pregnancy."

"You could bleed to death," Kris Jenner told Kim on the episode.

3. Doctors Tell Kim Getting Pregnant Again Wouldn't Be "Safe":

Kim and Kris meet with OB/GYN Dr. Paul Crane to discuss the idea of Kim having a third child. During their meeting, Kris asks the doctor if Kim's body could "withstand" a third pregnancy.

"Here's what I think, your pregnancies, you had toxemia, you had a retained placenta, very traumatic, we're always worried about the next serious complication," Dr. Crane explains. "I think the potential fear of the whole situation is legitimate."

Dr. Crane continues, "You never know that you might not have the same type of problem that might be more serious this time. You're always taking a little bit of a chance. There are situations where retained placenta could be life and death."

"You could bleed to death," Kris tells Kim.

After the meeting with Dr. Crane, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian meet with fertility specialist Dr. Huang to get a second opinion. Unfortunately for Kim, Dr. Huang also believes she would have a "high-risk pregnancy" if she were to get pregnant again. But he says another option would be for her to get a gestational surrogate.

While using a surrogate does "concern" Kim, Kourtney points out that if she does use a surrogate "nobody has to know" and she could have a baby for a year and "nobody would even know."

4. Kim Reveals What Worries Her About Surrogacy:

After the two doctors tell Kim it "wouldn't be safe" for her to get pregnant again, she decides to meet with a woman named Natalie who had a baby on her own and then used a surrogate and had twins after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

Kim tells Natalie that she's "worried" that because she went through so much "pain" with her first two babies and they went through "hell and back together" and with a surrogate it would be a different experience.

"I think my biggest fear is that if I had a surrogate, I just don't know like, would I love them the same?" Kim says. "That's the main thing that I keep on thinking about, that scares me."

But Natalie assures Kim, "There's not a day where I have any thought that my love for my kids are different, that my connection to my kids are different. You know you get to carry one and have them close to you, but the other is because you so desperately wanted them in your family."

After talking to Natalie, Kim says it was very "reassuring" and Natalie gave her "a lot of hope." She then says she'll have to talk it over with Kanye and see what's meant to be for their family.

At the lunch, the family members affected by gun violence went around and shared their stories. Lucy McBath, the mother of 17-year-old Jordan Davis who was shot and killed in Florida, and Tina Meins, the daughter of Damian Meins who was shot and killed along with 13 other people at a work training event in San Bernardino, Calif., were among the people who spoke to the Kardashians at the lunch.

"Anything we can do, we're glad to be here and just to spread the word," Kim tells the families.

"Hearing all these personal stories from the people that actually had to suffer from it, just makes me want to get more involved in Everytown," Kendall says. "I think it would be a little irresponsible of me to take this platform for granted and I think that I need to appreciate it and use it, so I'm just gonna go for it."

The Kardashians then put on Not One More bracelets to spread the message and goal that, "Not one more person has to die in this country for reasons that we can prevent."

6. Kim & Kris Discuss Surrogacy:

While at Kris' house, Kim reveals that she's come to the conclusion in her mind that she "can't carry" another baby and now she wants to "explore" surrogacy.

"I just think that that scares me for you," Kris tells Kim. "Like what if she gives birth and then grabs the baby and makes a run for it?"

"Well I don't think she can," Kim explains. "Also the best thing is I could have a new baby and have no one know and live my life for a good year before we announce it."

But Kim explains that she doesn't know if it's for her and tells her mom, "I really don't know."
