Groovy, baby!

Nicole Richie celebrated the big 3-5 Friday evening with a blowout disco-themed bash complete with sky-high curls, gold sequins and (of course!) a roller rink.

Close pals Jessica Alba and Kate Hudson as well as sister-in-law Cameron Diaz turned out for the party, decked out in their own 70s-inspired ensembles.

The A-listers took to social media with a number of must-see snapshots from the birthday girl's big event, and we can't help but assume our invitation must have simply gotten lost in the mail. Don't worry Nicole, we won't hold it against you.

Attendees mix and mingled the night away on roller skates and boogied to every hit song from the decade.

Hudson shared a particularly sultry moment from the night, which she captioned on Instagram, "Happy birthday gorgeous! @nicolerichie #DiscoNight" The actress also posted few hilarious videos of Richie's hubby Joel Madden learning to use Snapchat for the first time.

After all, if we're going strictly by theme, there was no Snapchat back in the day! Joel gets a pass on this rookie mistake.

And in honor of his leading lady's Sept. 21 birthday, the Good Charlotte rocker shared a sweet photo of the two captioned, "Best Mom,Best Friend, Best Wife. Happy Birthday Nicole, You keep us all laughing..."

Alba, who attended the bash alongside husband Cash Warren, made her own spotlight-stealing entrance in a shimmery, floor-length gold dress paired with bold statement earrings. She uploaded multiple videos from the celebration alongside Richie, who strutted her stuff for the camera.

Those who can't get enough of Richie will be happy to know she's taking her comedic chops to a forthcoming television series. Back in July, E! News confirmed Nicole will break into the scripted comedy world as a series regular on NBC's Great News. The sitcom, centering on a mother-daughter relationship, will premiere midseason.

Not a bad way to kick off 35. Happy birthday, Nicole!

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family).
