From Miley Cyrus' twerk fest to Britney Spears' python to that one time Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift, the MTV Video Music Awards have always been a night full of craziness, unexpected plot twists and incredible performances.

Thus, we aren't at all surprised that this year's show followed suit.

In fact, when anyone gives Kanye four minutes to do whatever the hell he wants, you know things are about to be—as DJ Khaled would say—high-key. Not to mention, names like Beyoncé, Rihanna and Britney headlined the show, and three queens under one roof can only equate to total greatness.

Check out all the 7 biggest jaw-droppers from the night below:

Kanye Shouts Out to Amber Rose and Ray J: 'Ye took the stage for 4 minutes ahead of releasing his "Fade" music video (which was a jaw-dropper on its own), and while many of us thought he might take the time to shade Taylor Swift, he actually did just the opposite.

The rapper spread the love and even shouted out to two unexpected people: Kim Kardashian's ex Ray J and his own ex Amber Rose.

While describing his "Famous" music video, he said, "I mean, like, I put Ray J in it, bro! This is fame, bro!" He continued, "I see you Amber," as the camera panned to his ex in the audience. "My wife is a G," 'Ye continued, laughing. "Not a lot of people's wives would let them say that right there!"

Nick Jonas' Bulge: While performing his song "Bacon," the singer opted for a pair of extra tight, green leather sweatpants that showed us just what he's workin' with...underneath!

Beyoncé's Entire Performance: You might as well call it the BEY-MAs, because Queen B took over the show! She performed for nearly 15 minutes, singing basically every song from her Lemonade album. From the costumes to the graphics, the dancers to the choreography to her sincere passion throughout the entire performance (without a single break), Bey proved why she reigns over everything.

Britney Spears Grabbing G-Eazy's You-Know-What: Not only did the Princess of Pop make her way back to the VMA stage for the first time in 10 years, she also caused us to majorly fangirl over her sexy dance moves, amazing costume and her hot and heavy interaction with G-Eazy. At one point, little BritBrit even grabbed him...down there!

Rihanna Performs Four Times: The Michael Jackson Video Vanguard recipient didn't perform just once...she didn't even perform just twice. No, only Bad Gal RiRi used the night to put on a full-blown concert for fans, taking the stage four times throughout the show.

Jimmy Fallon Dresses Up Like Ryan Lochte: The Tonight Show host attended the awards to present Video of the Year (which went to Beyoncé)...But Jimmy Fallon being Jimmy Fallon didn't just show up in a suit and tie. Instead, he came dressed as Ryan Lochte and poked fun at the swimmer for lying about the robbery at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Drake Tells Rihanna He Loves Her: And then kissed her. Yes, this really happened, and we're still unable to comprehend the cuteness.

Basically, while presenting Rih with the Video Vanguard Award, Drizzy gushed, "We love the music, which can change styles from album to album. We love the videos which change their artistic vision from year to year. But most of all, we love the woman who hasn't changed from day one."

Then he said it: "She's someone I've been in love with since I was 22-years-old. She's one of my best friends in the world. All my adult life, I've looked up to her, even though she's younger than me," he continued as the crowd roared. "She's a living, breathing legend in our industry."

And as they walked off stage together after her speech, he ever-so-gently placed a sweet one right on her lips. Too freakin' cute!
