Twitter/Ledecky FamilyEven if you've been living under a rock this Olympic season, you've probably heard of swimmers Katie Ledecky and Michael Phelps. Chances are, you already know they're both the best at what they do, and, of course, you know they both have numerous gold medals to their name. What you may not have known however was that outside of the Olympic Games, Phelps and Ledecky have a little bit more in common. In an awesome coincidence, ten years ago, 9-year-old Katie, met Phelps at an autograph signing.

Talk about a small world. Katie is literally all of us looking stoked AF to get the Olympians autograph. We wonder if she knew they'd meet again a few years later? So many medals in one room. ESPN reporter Darren Rovell, posted the photo to Twitter, courtesy of the Ledecky family. He also posted a picture of an even younger Ledecky meeting basketball icon Michael Jordan. Greatness surrounded by greatness. Such a good omen!
The 19-year-old swimmer made her Olympic debut in 2012 and currently holds two gold medals and one silver at the 2016 Rio Games. She plans to attend Stanford post-Olympics and swim for the Cardinal. Phelps currently holds three gold medals in the Rio games. Forget all of his previous awards for a second. It should be noted that he just became one of the best memes to come out of the games this year. Never forget Michael Phelps and his epic game face. This is just as valuable of an achievement as a first place title if you ask us.
