Mark your calendars, The Walking Dead fans. We finally have a season seven premiere date.
Shortly after taking the stage for the show's highly anticipated Comic Con panel, the show's executive producers revealed that we'd finally learn who's on the receiving end of Negan's brutal attack come Sunday, October 23.
Of course, that wasn't the only news to come out of the panel. After showrunner Scott Gimple confirmed that season seven would take a trip to the Kingdom, AMC released the new trailer, complete with our first look at King Ezekiel and his pet tiger, Shiva. Yes, you read that right.
For those unfamiliar with the comics, Ezekiel becomes a key ally in the fight against Negan and his Saviors. Before the zombie apocalypse, he was a zookeeper, hence the pet tiger. As leader of The Kingdom, he comes to know Rick and the gang through a trading network that also includes the Hilltop (Gregory and Jesus' community).
Ezekiel will be brought to life on the series by Khary Payton.
