After watching him take over awards season so far, we're already totally obsessed with the adorable Jacob Tremblay…but his latest interview on The Ellen Degeneres Show totally takes the cake. In fact, he may be her cutest guest yet!

Yes, the 9-year-old joined Ellen for the very first time and had us cracking up throughout his interview with his charming and precious personality—which actually might be how he snatched a photo with Leonardo DiCaprio at the SAG Awards on Saturday.

When asked about the now-viral photo, Jacob said he simply walked right up to him.  "It's kind of a funny story because everyone was standing up to cheer for someone, and I noticed Leonardo DiCaprio right in the chair behind us," he explained.

"So I just walked straight up to him and I noticed a huge line of people trying to meet him, but I was like, 'Oh, I'm a kid, I can skip it!'"

LOL! And that's exactly what he did—a moment he thinks may have been the reason DiCaprio ended up with an award that night. "So I skipped it and I said hi! And then I said good luck to him, and he then he said good luck to me," Jacob continued. "And he won, right? But I didn't win. So if you want to win, you just have to come up to me."

Though the Room actor is brushing shoulders with A-list celebs (and apparently helping them win awards) and attending the most prestigious events in Hollywood, he's still a kid—aka he still has to go to school and do homework.

However, he knows that his education will help him in his career. In fact, he's warning some of the biggest directors to watch out for him in the future

"I like writing because when I grow up I'm going to be a script writer and a director," he told Ellen. "But I don't think I should tell you because I don't want some Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, JJ Abrams to come and make millions of dollars off of my ideas!"

Can you even?!
