Happy anniversary, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones!

It's officially been 15 years since the famous lovebirds tied the knot in a gorgeous fairy tale wedding at the Plaza Hotel in New York City, since then raising two children, Carys, now 12, and Dylan, 15, and sharing what is safe to assume are some unforgettable memories.

The couple (who also happen to share a birthday!) were most recently spotted enjoying an exciting day at the 2015 U.S. Open in September and celebrating the premiere of Douglas' hit movie Ant-Man over the summer.

Not long ago, however, it didn't seem as if a 15th anniversary was in the cards for Douglas and Zeta-Jones.

Just over two years ago, the Oscar winners took a "temporary separation" to spend "some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage." Happily, they reconciled a few months later.

In April of this year, Douglas, 71, shared with Ellen DeGeneres, "[Marriage] can't be a one-way street. I'm crazy about her... I think every couple has their difficult times. The only problem is, as you well know, we're all in the public eye and it tends to get a little more exposed than most. But we're back, stronger than ever."

He echoed the sentiment in June, telling Event Magazine, "I love Catherine as much, more than I ever have. And hopefully the feeling's mutual."

Aww! As for any romantic plans to celebrate the milestone?

Douglas is keeping it simple yet sweet, telling ET, "We're going to go see a Broadway show, have a little dinner. Just the two of us."

In honor of the couple's special day, enjoy a trip down memory lane with the couple's romance in pics, from when their romance first blossomed more than 15 years ago until now. Congrats, you two!
