Kate Middleton is back to making official public appearances, and she looks positively radiant.

The Duchess of Cambridge stunned in a light gray, peplum-style dress, which she paired with matching gray suede pumps. Instead of wearing her bangs in front, she parted some of them to the side a la Jennifer Aniston in the final season of Friends.

Prince William's wife stepped out Friday to visit Send women's prison with the Rehabilitation of Addicted Prisoners Trust (RAPt), an addiction charity that works to help prisoners addicted to drugs and alcohol. While there, Prince George and Princess Charlotte's mom spent a lot of time listening to prisoners' stories in order to better understand how their addictions affected their families. Kate also learned about the role addiction played in the prisoners' offenses.

Middleton also heard from some of the program's graduates who talked to her about their road to recovery and how RAPt helped them lead drug and crime-free lives. Upon leaving, the British royal addressed what she had learned inside the women's prison.

"I was reminded today how addictions lie at the heart of so many social issues and how substance misuse can play such destructive role in vulnerable people's lives," she said. "I saw again today that a failure to intervene early in life to tackle mental health problems and other challenges can have profound consequences for people throughout their lives.

"I am grateful to the women I met for sharing their difficult personal stories with me," she continued. "It is encouraging to learn how organizations like RAPt are offering specialist support to help people break the cycle of addiction and look forward to a positive and crime free life."

This is Middleton's second solo public appearance following her daughter's birth four months ago, which means maternity leave is officially over! The 33-year-old royal's first solo appearance took place last week at the Anna Freud Centre where she learned about its work treating children and young people with mental health issues. The Anna Freud Centre's Family School uses interactive learning to help improve children's attention and concentration, and Middleton was able to test out the SmartGym learning technology with a student.
