Sometimes change is a good thing.

The movies formerly known as The Divergent Series: Allegiant — Part 1 and The Divergent Series: Allegiant — Part 2 will now be named The Divergent Series: Allegiant and The Divergent Series: Ascendant. Both films will still be based on Allegiant, the final novel in Veronica Roth's best-selling Divergent trilogy.

MTV broke the news and also revealed the logos Thursday. The Divergent Series: Allegiant got a new tagline: "Break the boundaries of your world." The Divergent Series: Ascendant got a new tagline, too: "The end is never what you expect."

Roth addressed the film's title changes on her Tumblr.

"What does this mean? Well, basically, it means there are going to be some changes, but it's really too early to know exactly what those changes will be or the extent of them. I know changes always make fans of the books — and the author! — nervous, but hopefully the characters we know (and love. Or sometimes love to hate?) will still be intact, which is really the important thing," Roth wrote, adding, "I am eager to see how these movies turn out, along with you guys."

Robert Schwentke is directing both films, which star Shailene Woodley as Beatrice "Tris" Prior; Theo James as Tobias "Four" Eaton; Ansel Elgort as Caleb Prior; Miles Teller as Peter Hayes; Zoë Kravitz as Christina; Naomi Watts as Evelyn Johnson-Eaton; Jeff Daniels as David; Maggie Q as Tori Wu; Octavia Spencer as Johanna Reyes; Ray Stevenson as Marcus Eaton; and Bill Skarsgård as Matthew.

The Divergent Series: Allegiant will be released on March 18, 2016.

The Divergent Series: Ascendant will be released on March 24, 2017.
