Castle Actress Stana Katic Marries Kris Brkljac—Inside Their Private Wedding!

Castle shippers have something new to celebrate!

Actress Stana Katic (aka Kate Beckett) married longtime boyfriend Kris Brkljac, E! News confirms. A rep for Katic tells E! News that she tied the knot with Brkljac over the weekend in a private family monastery on the Dalmatian Coast in Croatia. The 37-year-old actress and her husband shared a black-and-white photo of their hands overlapping, showing off their new wedding bands on those fingers.

Katic has had a busy year so far! In addition to getting married, she has been busy filming Castle and The Tourist, a film that is set to hit the big screen later this year. She has an unnamed role in the movie. Brkljac works as a business efficiency consultant. She and Brkljac have been notoriously private about their relationship, only really letting fans know how long they have been together.

Castle wrapped production on season seven, which explains how Katic was able to sneak away to get hitched! But as of now, the long-running show hasn't been renewed for an eighth season. The Canadian-born actress has alluded to her potential departure from the show, telling TV Line that should her character run out of a storyline, she would leave the show.

"If the character is complete, if there is nowhere else to go creatively, then I think it's better to stop when you're on top," she said. "So for me it's about art over finance, and as long as we're creating something that is compelling and that has somewhere to go, then we're good to go."

Naturally, Castle fans freaked out. They also panicked when Katic hinted on Twitter about a potential series finale of the show when season seven ends. She responded to a fan's question, writing, "Proud of all we've accomplished. Grateful 4 being part of the ride."
