British royalty may have come to town this weekend, but at Sunday's 37th Annual Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C., all eyes were on Michelle Obama.

FLOTUS attended the event, which honors contributors to the American performing arts, in a stunning blush-pink Monique Lhuillier gown featuring a sheer panel overlay and iridescent beading. She finished the look with a pair of metallic platform pumps and dramatic, shoulder-grazing drop earrings. And yes, those so-toned arms were on display.

Really, this might be all the holiday dress inspiration you need: Soft color, a hint of glimmer and the year's ever-present sheer panel illusion trend—all in one look!

This isn't the first time Mrs. Obama wowed in a Monique Lhuillier number: Last year, she attended the White House Correspondents' Dinner in a black, jewel-encrusted Lhuillier gown with a sweetheart neckline and sexy lacy overlay.

The first lady took to the star-studded event alongside President Barack Obama (who looked dapper himself in a trim black tuxedo). Actor Tom Hanks, comedian Lily Tomlin, and musicians Sting and Al Green were among the artists given honors this year. Lady Gaga and her boyfriend Taylor Kinney made a rare red carpet appearance together, while Bruce Springsteen, Meryl Streep and Steven Spielberg also helped in fêting the night's honorees.

It's already been a busy holiday season for Mrs. Obama, who recently debuted the White House's whimsical holiday decorations (the theme: A Children's Winter Wonderland). FLOTUS, of course, made sure to add touches of chic: We're talking ornaments by luxe jewelry designer Alexis Bittar, custom vases and gilded firewood.
