Check Out This Upcoming Outlander Scene for Further Proof It's TV's Most Romantic (and Horrifying!) New Show

Hide your husbands, ladies! Caitriona Balfe is apparently capable of having some amazing chemistry with any man. Even an actor who, ultimately, will play her worst nightmare.

This is the conclusion we've reached after watching this sneak peek from Outlander's third episode, airing this Saturday on Starz, in which we see her character, Claire (Balfe), say goodbye to her husband Frank Randall (Tobias  Menzies), in a 1938 (if my math is right) flashback.

Claire's going off to the battlefields to serve as a nurse. Frank's going off to serve as a military intelligence expert. It's a beautiful and touching scene. But what is perhaps most stunning is to see how much romantic chemistry Caitriona/Claire and Tobias/Frank's have together, because my, oh my, how things will change 200 years in the past/future!

STARZ

After Claire is accidentally transported back to 1743 Scotland (don't you just hate when that happens?), her interaction with the other character that Tobias plays—Black Jack Randall—is anything but romantic.

You will hate him to the very core. Perhaps more than any other current TV character. I actually wanted to punch him through my TV screen by the end of the sixth episode.

Prepare for some big emotions, Outlander fans.

The worst is yet to come.

Outlander airs Saturdays at 9 p.m. on Starz.
