A Day in the Life of the Hottest Man at Comic-Con

We followed Orphan Black's Dylan Bruce to see what it's like behind the scenes at SDCC

Make that two days in the life: Because when you're Orphan Black's Dylan Bruce (recipient of E!'s prestigious Best Ass on Primetime Award and our pick for Hottest Guy at Comic-Con 2014—sorry Vampire Diaries cast!) attending Comic-Con is like returning to the mothership. And one day simply will not appease the Clone Club.

We know what it's like being a regular person at Comic-Con (it's a lot of waiting in lines), but we wanted to know what it was like being a celebrity in the trenches. So we trailed Dylan for a day to find out, with a few selfies thrown in for good measure.

Starting Friday afternoon, when the cast first assembled to make a surprise appearance at Tumblr's official meeting of the Clone-Club (here, Dylan and Jordan Gavaris make a stealth entrance through the kitchen of the Southpaw Social Club, where the meetup was taking place).

And here they are after the big reveal, with Maria Doyle Kennedy and Tatiana Maslany!

Suffice it to say, the Clone Club was pleased (thanks for the selfie, Donnie, aka Kristian Bruun). This is just one of many selfies taken during the event, as the winners of the Clone Theater Challenge and Clone Club Cosplay Contest both got to take one with the cast.

From there, it was a quick outfit change into another T-shirt.

(Just kidding, this was a life-size cutout at the meetup. We didn't steal it, as much as we may have wanted to.)

From there, it was actually on to the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, where the cast would do their press interviews. Ari Millen (the new clone on the block), Kristian, Jordan and Dylan took the freight elevator up and, if we don't say so ourselves, looked pretty damn cool taking it.

This is what press room madness looks like from the other side of the camera.

There was no time to relax afterwards. Instead, it was a quick hop, skip, and a jump (or more accurately: A short golf cart ride) to the Convention Center, where the cast waited to be called on stage for the Orphan Black panel in Room 6A.

One last thumbs-up for luck!

That blur? It's Dylan.

...entering to what can only be described as deafening applause. Because who doesn't love Hot Paul? (Or as he's now referred to on the show, though it has yet been proven, Big D--k Paul.)

During the panel, Dylan made lots of faces.

And talked about his man crush on Jordan.

And then it was a wrap. Taking a load off after a successful day at Comic-Con.

But that was only day one. Saturday kicked off bright and early with more press. Here, Kristian and Dylan snapped a selfie before the chaos began. Because from there it was...

A quick photo shoot on the TV Guide Yacht...

A stop at the Nintendo suit to play some video games...

Sandwiches and champagne for lunch at Wired Café...

And a drinking-Redbull-while-selfieing break before even more press.

While most actors head down to SDCC only make time for one panel before bouncing, the Orphan Black cast made time for two: The second being Nerd HQ. In the green room, Dylan and Yvette Nicole Brown posed for a picture.

A fan gave Dylan this Ken doll as a throwback to when Vic referred to Paul as "Nail Gun Ken" on the show. Dylan liked it so much he brought it onstage with him during the Nerd HQ panel.

Kristian, Dylan and Maria Doyle Kennedy posing at Petco Park (home of the Padres!)

And then posing for selfies with fans. The Clone Club reconvened outside Nerd HQ and, while the cast waited for the SUVs that would pick them up and take them to the next stop, Dylan and Kristian went to say hello and take some pictures.

That's what the pictures looked like from outside.

Here's what it looked like from inside the gates:

(An excuse for a gratuitous butt shot. You're welcome.)

As night descended on Comic-Con, it was time for the parties. Or at least the press line before the Entertainment Weekly Comic-Con party (sidebar: EW throws one of the hardest Comic-Con parties to get into).

And then, when all the interviews were given and the selfies with fans were taken and panels were complete, it was time to head back to Nerd HQ and finally party. And pose for one last picture, of course, with creater Graeme Manson and Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner of Game of Thrones.

That is, until next year.
