Turns out, Steve Carell's famous Office catchphrase isn't the actor's favorite joke. But only because it's rarely used correctly.

The 51-year-old funnyman made a name for himself by famously declaring "That's what she said" as Michael Scott on the NBC sitcom, and during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday, Dec. 18, the actor was asked if fans often crack the joke around Carell.

Unsurprisely, his answer was yes, although he then proceeded to school the audience in the art of "That's what she said."

"Some people don't understand the structure of the joke," he explained. "And you'll say, 'Boy, I got out of a cab today,' and somebody will say, 'That's what she said.'"

"That's not really how it works," he continued. "They get it wrong a lot."

Carell and his Anchorman 2 castmates Will Ferrell, David Koechner and Paul Rudd also recently appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, where the friendly costars participated in a hilarious interview complete with comedy, violence and even a bit of porn-related chitchat.

The men entered carrying "gifts" for Stewart, which turned out to be items they had stolen from the green room moments before entering the stage.

"It's the least we could do," Rudd quipped. "The very least," Ferrell added.

The interview then centered on former Daily Show correspondent Carell, who kindly cleared up any lingering "rumors" about his costars as they sat quietly behind him.

"I hear Ferrell's a bit of a drunken prick on set," Stewart says.

"True," Carell admits.

"I hear Koechner's just an avid porn fanatic," the talk-show host continues.

"No, he loves porn," Steve spills. "And he likes watching it on planes. We've done a lot of traveling together. So he'll watch it on planes too, so it's really disturbing for most people."

As for Rudd?

Stewart notes, "He's managed to maintain a youthful vigor that makes me think that if I kill him, I become him."

"That's true," the 40-year-Old Virgin star confirms. "You could cut off his face and apply it to your face, and those healing nutrients, it's like osmosis."

"When I see him, I'm going to cut that motherf--ker's face off," Stewart says.

The five men then begin to brawl over Rudd's age-defying appearance, Carell's fine plate of food and, well...we're not entirely sure.

All in all, it's a must-see.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is currently in theaters.
